Also, "A Taste of Waxahachie," will be featured in the Crape Myrtle room, where local eateries will give away delicious samplings of what they have to offer.

The Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet, held at the Waxahachie Civic Center is slated for Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 7 p.m. At this yearly event, the Chamber recognizes the outgoing Chair and presents awards for Ambassador of the Year, Business of the Year, Industry of the Year, and more. | Dart Opens New Foam Recycling Drop-Off Center |

The ceremony will include a light lunch, a ribbon cutting at the new collection center, and a demonstration of an innovative machine used to compact foam the size of a small car into the size of a five-gallon bucket.

Got a business idea that won't go away? Have you always had the entrepreneurial spirit but just don't know where to start?
Robin Lasher, experienced entrepreneur and Director of Navarro College SBDC, will present the workshop and will introduce attendees to the "nuts and bolts" of starting their own small business. Attendees will explore the feasibility of their business ideas and learn the basics of registering a business, choosing a legal form of business ownership, filing proper permits and licenses, and evaluating financial options.

| Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services Volunteer Training Sessions |
 Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services Waxahachie Campus 300 Brookside Dr. Waxahachie, TX 75167 Saturday, Feb. 27 - Basic Volunteer Training, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch provided at no cost. Saturday, Mar. 27 - Super Saturday Volunteer Training, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. There will be two volunteer training opportunities for persons interested in volunteering with Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services. Our mission is to provide a variety of Christ-centered services to children in need and their families. Volunteers work with us in many ways to help fulfill our mission.
