| Rain Barrel Class Available Through City of Waxahachie |
 (March 19, 2010) More than ever, people are becoming interested in protecting our water supply. One of the easiest and most efficient ways to conserve water is the use of rain barrels. During a good rain, a rain barrel can be filled in just a matter of minutes. The water harvested in a rain barrel can be used to water outdoor plants, flower beds and small lawns. The City of Waxahachie's Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Ellis County Master Gardeners, have planned a class to instruct residents on how to construct a rain barrel. The class will be held Monday, April 12 at 6:30pm at the Parks and Recreation Building at 401 S. Elm. The class will also discuss water conservation and some of the benefits to using captured rainwater. The cost of the class is $30 per person. All materials will be provided, and at the end of class each participant will take home a completed rain barrel. The deadline to register is April 5th. Space is limited to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis. Those interested may register in person at City Hall, 401 S. Rogers, in the Utility Billing Department downstairs.  Waxahachie Family Dentistry and Dr. Scott Clinton, DDS is excited to announce that he has become professionally partnered with Dr. Bobby Haney. They believe this new partnership will allow both of them to create a truly outstanding dental practice. Waxahachie Family Dentistry has been hard at work on the new office for several months. March 1, 2010 marked the opening of the new and improved Waxahachie Family Dentistry. The new office is located at 125 Park Place Blvd. adjacent to the City of Waxahachie Athletic Complex.
